Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance

Keith Smith was the inspirational volunteer speaker provided by the charity, to gain a deeper understanding of what the Air Ambulance does.

Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance

We welcomed Keith Smith who talked to us about the Air Ambulance and it's work.  Keith showed us videos of pilots medics and grateful patients.  You can check out more here https://aakss.org.uk/category/patient-stories/

Every emergency call made is triaged and the air ambulance is deployed about 9 times per day and 24 hours per day.

KSS are a team of skilled experts responding to over 3,300 incidents annually across Kent, Surrey, and Sussex. And they can reach any location within 30 minutes. The helicopters are flying emergency rooms, bringing specialised doctors, paramedics and treatment to those who need it most.

They don’t stop. 24/7, 365 days a year.

The charity helps across Kent Surrey and Sussex and relies on donations. It needs to raise £20m every year although NHS gives 10%

We gave £100 donation to KSS and members also made personal donations to a collection box.
