OUR CLUBS & GROUPS

We read a range of genres of fiction, from classics to modern bestsellers.
Meeting about every six weeks throughout the year to discuss our chosen book.
We borrow the books from the library, so there is little expense involved.
The group has one a space, but there is of course the opportunity to create another, or space in the current on in 2025.
For guidance, contact Christine Craig, or any committee member.
BOOK CLUB

At the beginning of each year the members of the group put forward suggestions for books for the forthcoming year.
May's book was Prophet Song by Paul Lynch. It was an interesting read, in a strange writing style, with a very unnerving plot. A thought provoker!
The Wartime Book Club is the book that we're reading in June. It's set during the Second World War, with a story of life under the German occupation in Jersey.

LUNCH CLUB
Come and join us for some good food and a chance to get to know each other more over a good natter!
Our Lunch Club usually meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month with varying numbers joining in – usually 6-10 members. We can organise lifts for anyone who needs one and we car share anyway.

We decide amongst ourselves where we want to go and have lunched at the Half Moon and the Surrey Cricketers in Windlesham, Mullans and The Bear in Camberley and the café at the White Lion Antiques Centre in Hartley Wintney, among others.

We are currently looking for a new leader for our walking group, but in the meantime here are some links to local walking groups which members could attend, on their own or with fellow members.
Heatherside Social walkers: weekly local walks on Thursday mornings. See Shirley Faulkner for more details.
WALKING GROUP

NEW GROUP OR CLUB?
Could you be interested in forming a new group with other Camberley Diamond members? What are you interested in? We've suggested some ideas, but any and all are welcome! Do let the committee know, and we can see if there are like-minded members and help you start a new group.

KNITTING CLUB
We are a small, friendly group that meets at 1.30 pm, usually on the Thursday following the WI meeting. Whether you are a beginner, improver or expert you are welcome to join us.

SUPPER CLUB
This is an informal, sociable group that enjoys good company and food.
We meet every 5 or 6 weeks on a Thursday at 7 pm to enjoy a variety of cuisines - Thai, Italian, Turkish, Indian, Chinese, Texmex and much more!

It’s a treat to enjoy tasty food and a chat with friends. We have had fun trying many of the local restaurants and pubs in the area.
At the end of our meal we decide on the date and place of our next meeting and take it in turn to make the arrangements.
